a chemical known to the State of California to
cause cancer and to cause birth defects or other
reproductive harm.

can produce barb and thread combinations not shown
in this catalog, and other custom machined
products on a special quote basis. Please contact
us with your requirements.
Explanation of Part Numbers
– The four digits preceding the dash (-)
indicate a series number that identifies the type
of product. The first two digits following the
dash identify the size of the inside hose diameter
used on the fitting, expressed in sixteenths of
an inch. The third and fourth digits following
the dash identify the size of the thread on the
fitting in sixteenths of an inch. Other digits
may be used as a suffix to further define the
product.
Product Changes - Lakeshore
Fittings reserves the right to
change product specifications at any time.
Warranty – We warrant
our products to be free from defects in materials
and workmanship for one year from date of purchase
provided that the products are used under normal
operating conditions and for the use intended.
All garden hose fittings, adapters, and devices
are intended for outdoor use only. Products should
not be exposed to aggressive or destructive substances
that could corrode brass.
All claims for product defects are waived unless
reported to the company in writing within 30 days
after buyer has knowledge of such defect.
Definitions
Dryseal Pipe Threads
– Tapered pipe threads that are covered
by American National Standards Institute
(ANSI) B1.20.3-1976 (R1992). Designated
in this catalog by “NPTF,” these
threads are designed to seal pressure-tight
joints. The threads may incorporate the
NPTF (National Standard Pipe Taper Fuel
and Oil) or PTF-SAE Short forms. Dryseal
threads are used on brass products found
within this catalog. Use of a thread sealant
is recommended.
Hose Threads
– Parallel threads for hose couplings
and other fittings that are covered by American
National Standard ANSI B2.4-1996 (R1974).
Threads in this catalog in columns headed
“NH” or designated as “NPSH”
are threads of full form (as opposed to
thin-walled material formed to the desired
thread). Pressure-tight joints of hose thread
connections are achieved by use of a hose
washer placed between coupled surfaces.
NPSM Threads
– Parallel pipe threads for mechanical
joints in hose couplings and other fittings
covered by American National Standards Institute
(ANSI) B1.20.1
JIC – Joint
Industry Committee, a group that has defined
standards relating to fittings and other
products
SAE – Society
of Automotive Engineers, an organization
that writes and distributes technical information
and standards
